The all-in push was the play that Hero made but the Villain folded. I can see a call in this spot to Villain’s $9.25 check-raise. Hero has a full house Sixes over Jacks and he’s only behind if Villain’s holding JJ, KJ or J6. But since Hero is considering a push anyway, he really doesn’t care what Villain has.

Here we cold-call preflop in position with a mid pocket pair with a UTG raiser. We flop the set on a draw heavy board and raise the UTG players continuation bet. The turn pairs the board (giving us a full house) and introduces a second flush draw. We want to get all the money in by showdown. Checked to us, we raise and are check-raised. Whats your play?

This weeks hand (via PokerStars) has the hero in position with a high pocket pair (QQ), and a draw heavy board with an over card. The villain (56/16/3)* over 25 hands calls the preflop and flop raises. Hero stalls on the turn and checks behind. When the scare card comes on the river, the villain bets out over 1/2 pot. What’s the hero to do?
