Annette_ObrestadTwenty One years old and loving it, Annette Obrestad can finally play her favorite game in the United States. And, having already achieved celebrity status even before she stepped foot in US soil, Annette had no trouble weaving her way in and out of Las Vegas’ most exclusive haunts and its most expensive tournaments. Now, she’s making new headway as she makes an appearance in “Poker After Dark”.

Poker After Dark

If you’re tired of watching poker tournaments with the much-too-noisy commentators and the muted conversations between the stars, then why don’t you try watching Poker After Dark? This sensational TV series is one of the most watched poker shows in history, breaking new ground with its more intimate rendition of the poker games of all the best pros. Ali Nejad, the commentator, makes limited comments about the game and the focus is on the conversation of the players as well as on the game they play. Already on its sixth season, Poker After Dark certainly isn’t just your regular poker show. And this week’s episode is going to be even more special, as Annette Obrestrad will be making her first ever appearance in the show.

This Week’s Episode

The exact name of the episode has not yet been revealed, but the lineup of players is already out. Along with Mike Matusow, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Phil Hellmuth, and Erick Lindgren, is the former child prodigy of poker, Annette Obrestrad. Winner of the main event in the WSOP 2007 and the youngest player ever to win a WSOP bracelet, Annette is certainly one to fear should you ever encounter her on the felt. She will be facing a whole lineup of pros on the table so it certainly won’t be so easy for her to sweep up the competition. But one thing’s for sure, with her slow-roll skills, she’ll certainly have a good fighting chance. Another reason for you to look forward to this week’s show is the explosive lineup. With Mike “the mouth” Matusow and the poker brat, Phil Hellmuth, you can expect to see some snarky comments flying across the table. And with a new face joining the ‘big boys’, you can be sure that there will be much conversation. We’ll get to see a whole new side of Annette and who knows, she might just win enough money from Hellmuth to trigger a good old tantrum. This week’s episode surely isn’t one to miss.
