Poker Podcasts - What’s on your ipod?

22 September 2008 3 Comments

The selection of Poker Podcasts were slim pickings when I first started playing poker just a few short years ago. My favorite, and still an all-time classic, was “Card Club on Lord Admiral Radio“. Sean and Brent, I feel, were the pioneers of the poker podcast world and they also introduced Columbo to the podcast community. Card Club ran for 84 great episodes which is amazing for any podcast and is a testament to the hosts and it’s listeners. It also has, in my opinion, the greatest intro for a podcast*.

Nostalgia aside, there are some great poker podcasts available ranging from tournament news to strategy. There are a few that I currently listen to and I think you will enjoy:

What podcasts do you listen to that I should add to my list?

I listen to Phil Gordon on the podcast of ESPN Radio: The Poker Edge. He usually interviews one or two top flight pros. http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=2509922

I listen to pokerpodradio.com and Jack McAdoo. Its a clean show with a radio “feel”. I like a few others but this is the only show that I download from ITunes as far as poker goes.
